Anthony Donovan is an artist / composer / musician / writer based in England, recording solo, under his own name, and as Murmurists, leading an 18 person live multi-media theatre-group of that name. He has worked on projects with the likes of John Zorn, Bryan Lewis Saunders, Zafer Aracagök, JOHN3:16, Pas Musique and John Hyatt, and with members / ex-members of Henry Cow, Can, Einstürzende Neubauten, Napalm Death, Pere Ubu, Tangerine Dream, Faust, Morphogenesis and Derek Bailey's Company. Donovan founded the label and imprint Classwar Karaoke in 2008, which he co-curates with Jaan Patterson, producing, amongst other things, largescale quarterly surveys of experimental music and film, which have included artists sich as Bob Ostertag, Terry Bozzio, Adrian Belew, Scanner, Jaap Blonk, Lol Coxhill, Keith Tippett, Rhys Chatham, Adam Bohman, Fred Frith, Otomo Yoshihide, Evan Parker, Zoviet France, Peter Brotzman, Crank Sturgeon and Leafcutter John. His interests are all either obscure or opaque, but morally authentic.
